The Night of Shanghai

Rather than acquiescing the music as dated and archaic; resigned only to old Chinese grandmothers sipping tea in a rattan rocking chair with a table fan next to them in a dingy old house, i have yielded to my curiosity and the open mind.

I have rediscovered what many people have, the amazing melody and tunes of bourgeois pre-war Shanghai. My interpretation of the tunes are the influences of jazz, swing and Chinese folk music. So i have bought a couple of records online and has started the hunt for more.
